He has over 18 years of experience developing medical products in a start-up environment. He previously served as COO of Chestnut Medical, Vice President of R&D and COO for Smart Therapeutics, Vice President of R&D for Cardiovention, and Director of Product Development for Endovascular Technologies. Mr. Piplani is a Co-Founder of both KFX Medical Corporation and Chestnut Medical Technologies. He has made several successful "angel investor" placements including Ovion Inc. (acquired by American Medical Systems, Inc.), Vascular FX LLC (acquired by Micrus Endovascular Corporation), and CryoVascular Systems (acquired by Boston Scientific Corporation).
