| Community First Bank of Howard County became a reality on February 3, 2003 and we have been privileged to serve the citizens and businesses of this great community for four months now. As I like to tell my friends, all of the many months of hard work, planning and persistence have resulted in our very own “bouncing baby bank”. Like all new parents, we are extremely proud of what we have accomplished but are acutely aware that this is just the beginning. While we are confident that our offspring is capable of achieving great success, we understand that all achievements will be the result of a great deal of nurturing. Fortunately, we are blessed with an abundance of excellent co-nurturers: our local shareholders, who not only want the bank to be prosperous, but care deeply about this community; our board of directors who are willing to share all their varied skills and talents to provide the very highest level of governance and guidance; and, of course, a staff that consists of the most knowledgeable and dedicated bankers to be found in any bank, large or small. |
