| Simtrol is an Atlanta-based software technology company specializing in Audio/Visual (A/V) control. Historically, Simtrol officially became the name of the Company on October 1, 2001, bringing closure to its 16-year history as a group videoconferencing systems integrator named VSI Enterprises, which offered complete videoconferencing solutions through its wholly-owned subsidiary Videoconferencing Systems, Inc. (“VSI”).
In many ways, Simtrol resembles a startup endeavor involved with launching a new product and implementing a new distribution model that is based on exciting new technology. Within the new business model, the Company’s core business is the design, production, and sale of device control software that allows a control system to manage and control a wide variety of devices. The product knowledge behind the Company’s control software has been acquired over the many years in which the Company operated as a videoconferencing systems integrator. During this period (1993-2000), the Company developed, sold, installed and serviced over 2,000 PC-based control systems to Fortune 500 companies, educational institutions and government agencies. This experience has proven invaluable in launching our second-generation product. |
