| My law practice is devoted exclusively to tenancy in common (TIC), condominium conversion, unmarried couples, vacation home sharing, equity sharing, shared appreciation mortgages, investment partnerships, and other co-ownership matters. Since 1985, I have prepared TIC agreements for over 2000 clients and have converted over 1,500 condominiums in San Francisco.
Although I do not advise or represent clients regarding landlord/tenant matters, I am generally familiar with the law in this area and have included information about eviction-related issues often of interest to my clients such as owner-move in laws and the Ellis Act.
I do not advise or represent clients in disputes, but do provide mediation services. If needed, I am happy to provide referrals to real estate litigation attorneys with experience in co-ownership disputes.
In addition to advising clients, I have personally developed 27 residential and mixed-use projects in the Bay Area, and managed the real estate brokerage Property Resource Group for six years. I am an accredited instructor with the California Department of Real Estate, and frequently conduct co-ownership workshops for attorneys, real estate agents, corporations, and prospective home buyers. I am a vocal advocate for creation of affordable home ownership opportunities, and have made numerous appearances on San Francisco Bay Area television and radio, and addressed the Commonwealth Club of California.
