The Mobile Satellite Users Association (MSUA) was established in 1992 as a non-profit association to promote the interests of users of mobile satellite communications worldwide. It fosters effective communication among Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) users, suppliers of equipment and services, operators of the satellite systems, and the various governmental entities that may affect the future of the industry. MSUA is a global organisation and membership is open to entities worldwide engaged in any of these activities.Nine commercial mobile satellite communications systems are currently operating either regionally or globally. Scores of companies provide value-added MSS using these facilities. The industry serves some half a million users (subscribers) worldwide. Over a dozen companies are in various stages of implementing new mobile satellite communications systems. The industry is poised for explosive growth, measured both in subscriber numbers and in service revenues. All the more reason for MSUA!
