Doug has a deep technical background in transportation systems modeling and interactive simulation, as well as in vehicle and operator performance measurement. His recent works focus on advance safety assessment and training applications for drivers. He is an appointed member of the National Research Council’s Transportation Research Board Committee on Operator Education and Regulation and Committee on Simulation and Measurement of Vehicle and Operator Performance. Over the last twenty years Doug has led pioneering developments in design, modeling and visual simulation applications in architecture, urban planning, entertainment, mechanical engineering, transportation systems engineering and vehicle operator safety applications.
