Edward Martin has served as our Vice President of Professional Development since July 2008. In this role, he is responsible for the d evelopment of our people and organizations as well as employee communications. Mr. Martin previously served as our Vice President of Global Human Resources between August 2006 and June 2008. Prior to joining Atheros, Ed was Director, Global Learning at Xilinx and prior to Xilinx was VP of Human Resources at Pixar Animation Studios for six years. Prior to Pixar Ed’s roles have included international human resource roles at leading Silicon Valley firms such as Tandem Computers, Intuit and Silicon Graphics. He has a degree Business Administration from San Jose State University and in 2006 produced a business DVD on human resources called "At the Table: a menu of senior perspectives on today's HR" which is now in distribution. He also gives talks on corporate culture to human resource
