Frank Ginac Nonetheless, Ginac along with his wife Linda have had great success as co-chairs of the May 31st Cattle Baron’s Ball benefiting the American Cancer Society. The Austin Cattle Baron’s Ball has been fundraising for the American Cancer Society since 1993. Proceeds from the Ball, fund almost $300,000 in cancer research annually. In recent years, more than $1,600,000 has gone to cancer research in Austin. Besides the research efforts, funds support services such as patient transportation to treatment, hotel rooms for out-of-town treatments and summertime camps for children with cancer. CompassLearning, Ginac’s employer, supported his efforts and employees pitched in to assist with event planning details.
