Frank P. Macartney - Chairman of the BoardFrank Macartney founded ADI in 1959 with a mission to provide aviation excellence with the highest level of ethical, safety and technical standards. Originally designated as a Piper Aircraft distributor, Mr. Macartney became the youngest principal in the Beech Aircraft distributor network when he signed on with Olive Ann Beech in 1963, a relationship that continues today. He attended Yale University and then enlisted in the US Air Force flying F86 Sabrejets in Korea. Mr. Macartney served in the Strategic Air Command flying fighters carrying special weapons as a Bomb Commander. He has accrued 10,000+ flight hours in all models of Beechcraft, Hawkers, and Gulfstreams throughout his business flying career. Mr. Macartney still holds a majority interest in ADI.
