Riley served as senior vice president and controller for Agere Systems until his departure in early 2003. He was the acting CFO of Agere during its separation and carve-out from Lucent Technologies leading up to its successful $4.2B IPO. Prior to that, he served as CFO of the Lucent Microelectronics Group that grew to $3.5B in sales as a provider of both integrated circuits and optoelectronics components.
