Mike May President & CEO , Iverify Bill Boyd started at Muzak in 1968 as an entry-level sales representative. Four years later, he was elected Vice President of Muzak’s owned operations. In 1982, Bill purchased Muzak’s affiliate in Charlotte, and eventually purchased and managed other Muzak franchises throughout the 1980’s, consistently breaking records for franchise growth. In 1996, after selling his business, Bill began to serve as the Chairman of Muzak’s board of directors. Within a year, he became CEO of Muzak LLC . During his four-year tenure, Muzak grew from $80 million in revenue to $250 million. In 2001, Bill was named the Ernst and Young Regional Entrepreneur of the Year for the Southeast region. He retired from Muzak’s board of directors in 2006.
