Sam Haigh president and participant in the clean up project. “When presented with the park’s needs, we were thrilled to be able to respond.” “We were so appreciative of the Benchmark Hospitality team for their assistance with this clean-up," said Mary Breed, park manager at Claude Moore. "We were able to tackle projects in a few hours that normally would have taken us months and significant expense to complete. It was a great day for the park and the community." The project involved removing large quantities of rocks and soil to patch holes and re-establish dams on scenic ponds that had been damaged over time by beavers. Additionally, the team cleared several hundred square feet of brush and rebuilt safety signs around two large scenic ponds and fishing areas. The group also mulched the landscaping and stabilized several dozen newly planted trees with rope supports to keep the trees standing straight
