Scott D. Schweinfurth, 54, was named Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of WMS Industries in April 2000. Mr. Schweinfurth, a Certified Public Accountant, manages finance, accounting, facilities and investor relations.
Mr. Schweinfurth has steered WMS to its excellent financial position, overseeing the company's increasing revenue, which was up 20 percent in fiscal 2008. Also under Mr. Schweinfurth's fiscal guidance, WMS saw its fiscal 2008 gross profit margin increase to 59 percent, and its operating margin increased to 16 percent as well. Under Mr. Schweinfurth's leadership, cross-functional teams focused on better utilization of working capital and return on investment with gaming operations capital spending yielded a dramatically improved cash balance of $120 million, up almost $70 million in fiscal 2008.
