Vladimir S. Ban: President and CEO of PD-LD, Inc.
Dr. Ban received his BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the
University of Zagreb, Croatia in 1964; He received his PhD in Solid
State Science from Pennsylvania State University in 1969. In 1969,
Dr. Ban joined RCA Laboratories as a Member of the Technical Staff.
In 1972, Dr. Ban spent 10 months as a visiting scientist at the
Imperial College in London. Upon returning to RCA Laboratories,
Dr. Ban was promoted to Research Leader. In 1979, he became the
Group Head, for Videodisc materials and Diagnostics. In 1984, Dr.
Ban co founded EPITAXX, Inc. He was the Executive Vice President
and Chief Operating Officer until starting PD-LD, Inc in 1993.
