LOS ANGELES, Calif., - June 05, 2012 - In order to recognize the fastest growing technology companies in Florida, Lead411 is proud to announce the release of its "Hottest Companies in Florida" award.

Background
Each day, the Lead411 research team scours through 600+ press releases and business articles including venture capital fundings, company launches, new office openings, customer press releases, etc. This information has given insight to which are the fastest growing companies in the U.S. Their "Hottest Companies" awards have been created to recognize these fast growing companies in different geographic regions. This particular list originally started with over 240 companies and it has been narrowed down to the top 20.

How the Winners were Chosen

  • ** Over $1M in funding in the past 2 years;

OpenPeak is a leading mobility technology provider. OpenPeak designs end-to-end managed systems and solutions that enable Enterprises, SMBs, and Education, Healthcare and service providers to provision and manage their customer’s mobile devices and applications remotely. OpenPeak’s Advanced Device and Application Management (ADAM) mobility management suite is comprised of three components: SANCTION, SECTOR, and OPENSHOP. The company received $27.4M in financing from RRE Ventures in April of 2011.

Highwinds Network Group Inc

Prolexic has raised $13.9M in venture financing from Kennet Partners in March of 2011.

The company collected $2.5M in funding from Square 1 Bank in July of 2011.
