Skybox Security‘s delight with their continuous growth in the past 18 months was further heightened by their most recent funding, amounting to an impressive $6 million equity investment. This particular round was led by Susquehanna Growth Equity, LLC, and also involved the participation of existing investors.
Their CEO Gidi Cohen shared a bit more about this recent achievement in this e-interview with Lead411:
Who are your competitors and how are you different from them?

We find that all aspects of marketing support each other to build brand awareness and increase leads. It is important to balance a marketing approach – for instance awareness building PR and advertising to the companies and people you are trying to reach along with SEO and SEM to make sure your name pops up when people have a problem you solve. Targeted, direct marketing to focus lead generation activities is crucial. These activities, and the corresponding budget, fluctuate depending on the campaign, audience, and time of year.
What marketing tactic has given you the highest ROI? What percentage ROI do you get back on this?
We see the highest return from SEO efforts. It is something that once set up properly and maintained has a huge impact on driving inbound leads. However, a good integrated marketing program builds on many different elements.
What do you plan to spend your new funding on? Product development? Marketing?
Skybox has grown more than 60% year over year in 2011. We will use these funds to support the growth of Skybox including expanded use cases, addressing new markets for our products, and further developing our sales pipeline.
