The operations of Adams Resources & Energy Inc. were originally founded by K.S. “Bud” Adams Jr. in 1947 as a private concern. The Company completed its initial public offering in 1974 and Mr. Adams continues to serve as Chairman and President. The Company and its subsidiaries presently employs 646 persons of which, 369 are involved in transportation operations, 253 in the marketing of crude oil, natural gas and petroleum products, 14 involved in the exploration and production of crude oil and natural gas, with 10 persons in administrative capacities.
