Aurora Oil & Gas Corporation has been in existence since 1997. In 2005, a reverse merger was completed with Cadence Resources Corporation, creating one entity focused on development of existing acreage and growth through acquisition of properties located in the Michigan Antrim Shale and New Albany Shale of Indiana and Kentucky.
To create long-term value for its shareholders by aggressively pursuing production of natural gas from lower-risk unconventional reservoirs found in black shales, coal seams and tight sands. Ultimately, this will provide stable commodity prices and assist the United States in its continued effort toward energy independence.
