The Beverly National Bank has been providing banking and financial services for nearly 200 years. Incorporated under the laws of Massachusetts on June 23, 1802, as The Beverly Bank, this financial institution received its national banking powers in 1865 and became the Beverly National Bank.
The Beverly Bank opened its doors to the public on October 4, 1802, in the John Cabot House located at 117 Cabot Street, the present home of the Beverly Historical Society. The Beverly National Bank is the oldest community bank and the third oldest chartered bank in the United States.
