| Craftex Mills is a private company that designs and weaves highly styled fabric for upholstering furniture. Our specialty is jacquard textiles where the design is woven into the cloth with colored yarns and fancy, complicated weaves. We are a third generation family business, operating in eastern Pennsylvania for over ninety years. Craftex makes fabric for home furnishings, office seating, outdoor furniture, airline seats, and many other related applications such as pillows, bedspreads, luggage, table runners, draperies, and wall coverings.
Our distribution channels are strictly wholesale. We do not sell direct to the public or to interior designers or decorators. Our major customers are distributors (called "Jobbers") and manufacturers of seating products. The signature decorative products currently are luxurious tapestries and damasks made with chenille yarns. The Craftex staff of professional textile designers creates nearly 1,000 new patterns each year and our mill in Auburn, PA weaves over 50,000 yards of fabric per week. We have sales offices with showrooms in New York City, High Point, North Carolina, Chicago and Los Angeles.
