| DMI’s humble roots date back to 1978, when Dakota Machine and Tool opened its doors in West Fargo, N.D. Back then, the company focused on machine tools and refurbishing machining equipment for resale.
A void in the custom fabrication market in the mid-1980s opened the doors for diversification and expansion. Dakota Machine and Tool manufactured its first sugar beet piler in 1987, and we haven’t looked back. We transformed our shop for custom manufacturing to deliver processing equipment as diverse as ASME pressure vessels to conveying systems.
