| Doclinx.com is the successor company to Optical Software Tools and Sidana Systems, Inc.
In 1988, Optical Software Tools (OST) was formed by senior engineers from KnowledgeSet, Inc. and Publisher's Data Service Corporation (PDSC), Inc., the companies that created the first CD-ROM titles. OST's goal was to develop cutting edge search and retrieval applications for CD-ROM.
In 1995, Sidana Systems, Inc (SSI) was incorporated. SSI's goal was to provide customized e-publishing solutions to businesses. The company developed CD-ROM products for the semiconductor industry, and built applications for the emerging Internet.
In 1996, Sidana Systems merged with Optical Software Tools. This merger positioned SSI strategically to be a leader in the knowledge management industry. The company developed the Docsan ®suite of products, a powerful CD-ROM and web-based knowledge retrieval and management system.
In 1999, SSI was purchased by a management LBO and after re-organization emerged as Doclinx.
