Fire Chief Equipment was founded in 1955 as an single-person company that serviced portable fire extinguishers.Leo Ruch purchased the business in 1970 and in 1971,Rob Ruch, the owner's son entered with the company where he was given the challenge of learning the fire equipment business from the ground up.
