Firehole Technologies has its beginning in the academic research of composite analysis during the mid 1990's. The core technology was part of an academic research project at the University of Wyoming in the Mechanical Engineering Department. In 2000, a number of entrepreneurial graduate students and faculty at UW, seeing the commercial potential of the technology, set their minds to take control of their destinies and began Firehole Technologies.
Firehole Technologies provides innovative software and analytical services for the computer-aided design and analysis of advanced composite materials and structures. We also partner with universities, private enterprises and government entities to develop next-generation, best-of-breed computational technologies for composites analysis. Firehole's customers include the United States Air Force Research Labs, the Office of Naval Research, the Missile Defense Agency as well as private defense contractors.
