The date was September 8, 1962, the town was Owasso, and First Bank of Owasso opened its doors that day to a community that knew the original meaning of local banking.
For over four decades, First Bank of Owasso has played a vital role in developing Owasso’s and surrounding communities’ economic boom. In 1984, the Main Bank expansion was completed, and one year later the German Corner branch opened its doors to customers in north Tulsa County. However, these two expansions weren’t the end of the bank’s growth. In 1997, the bank expanded one more time with the opening of the 86th Street branch.
