The vast experience and resources of The FHK Companies’ general partners have resulted in the development of nearly 100 neighborhood and community shopping centers that consistently outperform other centers in customer traffic and sales volume.
The FHK Companies have risen to the forefront of neighborhood and community shopping center development. Benjamin J. Franklin initiated the Company's tradition of leadership with his development activities beginning in the early 1960's. From 1971 to 1976, he and associate Kenneth D. Hinsvark enjoyed exceptional success, developing shopping centers throughout the West. The volume of work inspired by their success, coupled with a rapidly expanding marketplace, necessitated an increase in their development capabilities.
In 1978 they expanded the breadth of their partnership to include Fred M. Katz and established The FHK Investment Companies. From that day forward they have continued a program of development endeavors that has earned The FHK Companies a reputation as one of the West's leading shopping center developers.
Through the operation of three offices throughout California, each general partner plays an integral role in the development process. Every development activity is initiated only after the unanimous approval of the general partners. Each office is headed by a general partner, where, in addition to their participation in partnership decisions, they oversee specific development related activities.
