| For more than 80 years, Mercur has been meeting the challenges, creating innovations and leading its industries in quality products. Innovation and industry leadership started back in 1924 when Mercur’s founders, the Hoelzel brothers, developed the company’s first rubber-based products before creating the first rubber products plant in the southern Brazilian region of Santa Cruz do Sul. Over the next 70 years, Mercur’s growth led the company to create three separate divisions in 1996:
Stationery: including school items and office products, including erasers, glues and correction fluids, and more
Flooring and laminates: in charge of the development and production of floorings, and industrial rubber sheets
Body Care: commercializing the most complete line of therapeutic products for health treatment, prevention and preservation
Mercur is unique in that it’s a traditional company viewed as an innovator in its respective industries. After 84 years of tireless effort, Mercur still provides the highest quality products and the latest in development and design. In the last five years, Mercur has placed over 450 new products in the market, garnering prestigious international awards in the process.
