Merganser Capital Management LP is an independent registered investment advisory firm specializing in fixed income management. The firm is wholly owned by employees and does not engage in any other business.
Merganser was established in 1984 as a registered investment advisor and a subsidiary of Polaroid Corporation to act as the in-house investment advisor actively managing the fixed income portion of its corporate and retirement trust funds. The founding principals acquired the firm from Polaroid in 1987 and began operating it as an independent entity. Today, fourteen active employees own 100% of the firm.
