North Star was incorporated (as North Star Trust Company) in 1997 and began managing trust accounts in 1998. Our portfolio of client accounts now exceeds over $1 billion across several business lines.
In 2001 a holding company structure was created to reflect the diverse nature of North Star's business lines. The parent company is now North Star Financial Corporation and the other North Star operating units, including North Star Trust Company, are subsidiaries of North Star Financial Corporation.
