| Panhandle Insurance Agency (PIA) opened in 1925. Over time, the agency operated offices in Amarillo, Borger, Pampa, and Lubbock, Texas, until purchased by a national broker in September of 1981. To provide a better focus on the insurance needs of their customers in the area, local insurance professionals repurchased the agency on August 1, 1988. PIA relocated to Amarillo National Bank's Plaza II in November of 1991.
