StackSafe has developed a patent-pending software platform to meet an immediate need within the IT operations market for pre-production staging, testing and analysis. In April 2006, the company received $2.5 million in Series A financing from Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Chart Venture Partners.
Market testing with 35 enterprises revealed a significant need for an easy-to-deploy, pre-production environment for analyzing the impact of changes, patches and upgrades on the IT operations application stack. StackSafe finalized its strategic direction last September and completed the prototype for its pre-production virtualized staging and analysis platform in January 2007. Beta testing began in June 2007, with general availability of the solution planned for late 2007.
