| TBC Corporation is engaged in the marketing and distribution of tires in the automotive replacement market. The Company has a total of 36 warehouse distribution facilities, totaling approximately 3.7 million square feet, located in 17 states across the United States. TBC has two operating segments: wholesale and retail. Approximately 2.9 million square feet of the Company's warehouse distribution facilities are utilized for its wholesale business and approximately 800,000 square feet are utilized for the retail business. In April 2003, TBC acquired Merchant's, Incorporated, a tire retailer and automotive service provider with 112 company-operated stores headquartered in Manassas, Virginia. |
