| Providence Service Corporation (Providence) is a provider and manager of government-sponsored social services. The Company's counselors, social workers and mental health professionals work with clients who are eligible for government assistance due to income level, emotional/educational disabilities or court order. The state and local government agencies that fund the services Providence provides are required by law to provide counseling, case management, foster care and other support services to eligible individuals and families. It does not own or operate any hospitals, residential treatment centers or group homes. Instead, it provides care primarily in the client's home or community, reducing the cost to the government of such services while affording the client a better quality of life.
