| Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., is the US sales unit for Toyota Motor, the fourth-largest seller of cars in the world (behind GM, Ford, and DaimlerChrysler). Most of the Toyotas sold in the US also are made there, and Toyota employs more than 20,000 Americans involved in the manufacture, research, financing, and sales of its cars, light trucks, and sport utility vehicles. The company is planning to recapture its share of the youth market with the 2004 introduction of Toyota's new Scion brand. Sales are through 1,200 dealerships throughout the US. |
