| TradeStation Group, Inc. is an Internet-based securities brokerage for institutional, professional and serious, active individual traders. The Company offers the TradeStation electronic trading platform, which seamlessly integrates strategy-trading software tools, historical and streaming real-time market data and "intelligent" direct-access order-routing and execution. TradeStation Securities, a direct-access brokerage firm serving the active trader and certain institutional trader markets, is the Company's principal operating subsidiary. As of December 31, 2002, TradeStation Securities had nearly 8,000 equities and futures accounts. The Company's subsidiary, TradeStation Technologies, Inc., provides subscription services for TradeStation. The subscription version of TradeStation offers strategy-trading software tools that generate real-time buy and sell alerts based upon the subscriber's programmed strategies, but does not include order execution. |
