| Vectren Corporation is an energy and applied technology holding company. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Vectren Utility Holdings, Inc., serves as the intermediate holding company for its three operating public utilities: Indiana Gas Company, Inc., Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company (SIGECO) and the Ohio operations. Indiana Gas provides natural gas distribution and transportation services in 49 counties in Indiana. SIGECO provides electric generation, transmission and distribution services to eight counties in southwestern Indiana and participates in the wholesale power market. SIGECO also provides natural gas distribution and transportation services in 10 counties in Indiana. The Ohio operations provide natural gas distribution and transportation services to 17 counties in west central Ohio. The Company is also involved in non-regulated activities in four primary business areas: Energy Marketing and Services, Coal Mining, Utility Infrastructure Services and Broadband. |
