Honestly, people leave ZoomInfo for pretty much the same reasons you’d leave any relationship that’s not working — it’s expensive, complicated, and you’re not getting what you need.

Let me break down what I keep hearing from people who’ve made the switch:

The money stuff is brutal. ZoomInfo isn’t cheap, and once you’re locked into one of their contracts, good luck getting out. Here’s what really gets people: You’re paying top dollar but still hitting credit limits and export restrictions. It’s like buying a car but only being allowed to drive it on weekends.

So where do people go? We get a lot of old Zoominfo clients at Lead411, just simply because we have verified data and unlimited usage at a good price. Apollo.io is popular with smaller teams because it’s more user-friendly, but data quality is not quite as strong. Cognism if you’re dealing with European markets. Each has its strengths.

The bottom line? People want accurate data, fair pricing, and a platform that doesn’t make them want to pull their hair out. When ZoomInfo stops delivering on those basics, it’s time to start shopping around.
